Happy valentines day everyone! (/happy sam’s birthday to everyone!)
Today is my last valentines day as an unmarried woman wooo. Last year we were kind of lame and went to a movie (gnomeo and juliet) in charleston and then hung out with my fam for my brother’s birthday. we are lame. but one cool thing we did was this photoshoot we won from landon jacob productions. that was fun.
This year we already did valentines day, a little early. and it was lovely. we didn’t go see a movie or hang out with my family ha. We ate fresh, locally grown organic food at an awesome restaurant in athens and then ate cupcakes by candlelit mason jars. I got a good one! Can’t wait for May 26, 2012!
Here is the mantle in the kitchen/dining area. Once again it will decorated much cuter once I arrive but for now it does a great job of holding the utensil cup, daniel’s liquor, and the beautiful flowers he got me for (early) valentines day!
The apartment has a fireplace that is essentially in the middle of all the rooms. Therefore three out of the four rooms all have a mantle in them. I am very pumped about this because mantles are awesome for decorating with various cute nick nack-ish items. What a better place to stash awesome things! When I bring all my cute stuff down this mantle will look legit. Just a little preview of it. It still looks cute.
This is my little corner in the living room. I love this chair which was thrifted of course and I love that crate currently it is being used to hold blankets. When I move in I plan to add an awesome window coat rack to this little area.
This weekend I went to visit Daniel in our future home. He is currently living there and I will just move in when we get married. I had bought some things at IKEA for the apartment and we decided to put them up. These shelves are awesome. They cost 3 bucks each (I think) and are so cute. They are called spice racks but we utilized them for coffee and tea as well. When I move in I will take some good quality pictures of the apartment all decorated but these will do for now.
This is my sweet Brody bear. Inside that giant body is a loving cuddly crazy little dog and he’s the best!
Something I love is porch sittin.
The state fair is in town. Yipee! ha. I have been two times and didn’t really document much of the adventures but here is a picture from the pig race. These pigs definitely came in lat place. They wee in no hurry to get to the finish line.
Earlier today this lampshade was blue with basically a blue tutu on it. Now it looks like this. I still need to add some burlap to the inside of it because now when I turn the lamp on it still looks blue. oops.
